cose drawing is done finally

This Tuesday is the end of the year COSE party. All of the caricatures were drawn live (except a couple that weren't there) in pencil wash as shown in one of my first posts on this blog. I took those drawings and traced them, laid them out with some idea of what the background was going to be, photographed the artwork and then colored it digitally. Another way I could do this is to trace each caricature in illustrator and put them all together digitally but it would have taken forever. The way it was done is how MAD magazine artist Tom Richmond has suggested he does most of his work for the magazine.
